Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Dr. Antony Pitamber (“we,” “us,” or “the practice”) handles information you provide through this website, antonymd.com. We are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your personal, health-related, and payment information, consistent with our professional and ethical obligations as a physician registered with the Medical Council of Guyana.
Information we collect
When you submit a booking or contact request, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include:
- Your name
- Your phone number and, if provided, your email address
- The service or type of consultation you are requesting
- Your preferred date and time
- Any details you choose to include in the message field, which may relate to your health or reason for seeking care
- Payment confirmation details you share when arranging a consultation (for example, a reference to an MMG payment sent via WhatsApp)
We do not knowingly collect more information than is necessary to respond to your request and arrange care.
How we use your information
We use the information you provide solely to:
- Respond to your enquiry and confirm appointments, typically via WhatsApp or phone
- Provide the medical services you have requested
- Confirm and reconcile payments made to secure a consultation
- Maintain appropriate records of our communication and your care
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties, and we do not use it for advertising.
Payments
Payments are made directly by you through MMG (MMG Mobile Money Guyana). We do not collect or store your full financial account credentials on this website. When you confirm a payment with us — normally by sending a confirmation via WhatsApp — we retain only what is necessary to match your payment to your consultation. Your use of MMG is also subject to MMG’s own terms and privacy practices.
How your information is stored
Booking details submitted through this site are transmitted securely and stored using a reputable third-party database and hosting provider. Access is restricted to the practice. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
WhatsApp and messaging
If you contact us through WhatsApp, your messages, phone number, and any payment confirmations you send are handled within WhatsApp’s own platform and are subject to WhatsApp’s privacy practices in addition to ours. Please avoid sharing sensitive health details over messaging beyond what is needed to arrange your consultation.
Medical confidentiality
Any health information you share in the course of receiving care is treated as confidential and handled in accordance with the professional duties of a registered medical practitioner in Guyana. Information is disclosed only with your consent, or where disclosure is required or permitted by law.
Your choices
You may request access to the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete information that we are not required to retain. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You are never obliged to use this website to reach us — you may also contact the practice directly by phone.
Children
This website is intended for use by adults. Where care is sought for a minor, we expect a parent or legal guardian to provide the relevant information and consent.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand how the website is used and to measure how quickly its pages load. These tools collect anonymous, aggregated information — such as page views, the type of device and browser used, and general performance timings. They do not use cookies, do not collect your name or contact details, and are not used to identify you personally. This data helps us keep the site fast and reliable for everyone.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
